To a certain friend of mine:

You msged out of the blue, askin bout my lost, about how i am, and telling that you love me, care for me, and wld be by my side when i do need you.. But, never have treated you the same way. Never thought you needed me, as you had a million and one other friends by your side.

Now that you did mention, i do miss the times we shared. Recall acting this "play" where we acted as some dumb girlies in one of our IS classes, as well as the constant chatter, *shhhHhs* frm boring tutors etc. Those were the days, where i really looked up to you, and went "HeY! this girl's one smart babe!" I really did. You were cooL!

Then came the time, when everyone spoke bad about you. well, almost everyone. and, i simply didnt stand firm! Im sorry, i didnt stand up for you. I kept silent. I couldnt disagree with them, as they were speakin the truth. Didnt view you the way the others did.. felt that you were just YOU, i never thought of you as anything more than that (or less for that matter).. Plain simple YOU... Hence when they spoke bout you, i listened.. and agreed.. when people asked.. i merely conveyed.

The day came where you confronted me, askin me if i've been tellin tales of you. i said NO. I wasnt denying. i was tellin the truth. i just didnt defend you.. my friend... i didnt not stand up for you... We drifted appart. slowly, but surely...

I've lost too many people in this life, male/female alike. Didnt think that one more would make a difference. Tonight however.. you touched me with your concern. You said you'd be a listening ear, someone i can turn to, and that you remember me as the VAL i was... back then... when we were girlies in year 1... You teared for me, when u found out about my loss.. Genuine tears of yours..

For that, i truly am touched. No promises about our friendship, as words dont mean shi* most of the time.. I will however, always remember you, as the person who taught me important lessons in life. The lesson of standing up for a friend... and being there for a friend.
